Bears differ from other carnivores because the special meal teeth they own are not specially adapted to the tearing of meat, but to the grounding of vegetation. In order to be able to successfully maintain such a large animal with a predominantly vegetarian diet, the black bear must spend a huge amount of time on food and it is known that it consumes tens of thousands of nuts and berries per day.
