Kluitman Golden Horses Publisher: the escape of Rafal

Rafal is a Konik and he lives with his herd in a nature reserve in the middle of the Netherlands. It is a heavy existence for the horses now that it is winter. There is a thick layer of snow and the animals can hardly find any food. In the reserve, the Koniks are not fed and the herd cannot leave the area to look for food. One day the horses see no other way out: they have to cross the lake that forms the border of the reserve, in the hope that on the other side you can still find something edible. Only they have to cross a ice plain covered with snow. Rafal is afraid of the ice, but he realizes that he has no other choice. Will he get the other side?
